Faith and Justice Empowerment programme is a pastoral programme, funded by the Swiss Catholic Lenten Fund (Fastenopher). The programme aims at complementing the work of the Archdiocese of Nyeri pastoral agents by through strengthening their capacities by making them agents of change in their communities. It is an attempt to see faith communities respond to issues facing them in a practical and realistic manner, taking into account conflict sensitive demand for justice.
The project is operates in three deaneries; Kieni South, Othaya and Mukurweini deaneries.

Faith Communities have build their capacities towards Social Action Oriented Faith.
Objectives
The project has four interventions
Leaders of Gitegi and Nganyuthe local churches during training in sustainable agriculture at caritas Nyeri.
Leaders of Gitegi and Nganyuthe in a demonstration plot, preparing a kitchen garden at Caritas Nyeri.
Rev. Frs of Gatarakwa deanery receiving a trophy from the Archbishop Peter Kairu for being the best deanery in the archdiocese.
